The events occur twice a year in the autumn (April/May) and spring (September/October) and typically run for 4 days; usually Thursday/Friday afternoon to Sunday/Monday evening.
Although the weekend event is the focal point, the Transition Evening is the official start of the event and is compulsory to attend. The Regathering that usually occurs 3 weeks after the weekend is the official completion. It is highly recommended that attendance is prioritised over other commitments to ensure completion of the process.
If you are interested in joining us on an event, attendance at the Information Evening is highly recommended. Please contact us if you require further information or are keen to attend but can’t make it to the Information Evening.
Castlemaine Rites of Passage acknowledges that this event will be occurring on the land of the Dja Dja Wurrung. We acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land, Australia’s First Peoples, and pay our respect to their histories, connections to land and continuous living cultures. We acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded.
